EPISODE 14 - Portrait of an artist: László Bordos

Hungarian artist László Bordos has been working with video mapping since the early 2000s. From VJing to monumental projections, he has also been interested in the interactions between mapping and light. His approach as an artist-researcher has led him to experiment with projection on different scales and media: thus Umbra Triplicata, a mapping installation on an object, is the first video mapping work to enter the collections of a contemporary art museum, the ZKM, Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe. Through his work and research, László Bordos sees video mapping not as a tool, but as a genuine art form.
