Athem

Athem is an urban scenography company created in 1985 and specialised in the enhancement and decoration of places and buildings. Athem has created over 7,000 scenograhic projects in 22 countries around the world. It works in the corporate, luxury and heritage sectors, often in prestigious settings. In 2016, Athem buys the company Skertzò (founded by Jean-Michel Quesne and Hélène Richard), thus acquiring new expertise in terms of video mapping. The following year, Athem designs and patents ‘Jamion’, a top-of-the-range and powerful mobile light projection device, and then develops Jam Project, a workshop for scenography applied to the cultural sector, and especially museums, based on video mapping and immersive experiences (in particular through the Jam Capsule). Athem works with various artists (such as the graffiti artists LEK & Sowat for Parallax at the Fluctuart urban art centre in 2019, or the film-maker Wim Wenders for (E)motion, projected in the main hall of the Grand Palais the same year).
