Nathanaëlle Picot

As a child, Nathanaëlle Picot was steeped in the cinephile culture of her father, whose job was to repair cinema projectors. After graduating from the Ecole Marie Curie in Marseille, she then attends Gobelins, l'école de l'image in the early 1990s, studying a course in multimedia graphics. She begins her career as a graphic designer in the field of monumental projection in 1997, joining La Grande Image (https://www.lagrandeimage.com). At the time, she was working with fixed, hand-painted or printed slides. Following the various technological evolutions in her sector, she switches to video projection in 2004, followed by 3D animation, and produces her first video mapping projects around 2010. In 2013, Nathanaëlle Picot founds Pixel n’Pepper as creative director, alongside Gaël Picquet, its technical director. This agency produces multimedia spectacles, video scenography and video mapping for major brands (such as Cartier) and events for the general public. Through its mappings, Pixel n’Pepper breathes new life into a cross-generational culture connected with public shows and fairgrounds — as demonstrated by Un songe forain [Ndlt: a fairground dream], projected onto the Big Wheel in Place Bellecour, Lyon, in 2016.
