The World In Your Hands

Mapping monumental (bâtiment, façade, création frontale) - Linéaire

The World In Your Hands is a playful meditation on the link between humans and the natural world. Using manipulated footage of a pair of hands as performers, I present a series of creatures and environments that are grotesque yet disconcertingly familiar. Animals fly, run and swim while machinery whirs, all constructed from fingers, thumbs and palms.

 

This monumental mapping project was submitted to the 1 Minute Projection Mapping Competition based in Tokyo, Japan. Created by Christopher Harrisson who is a multi-disciplinary artist from the UK. He makes playful, narrative-based work about myth, monsters and the future. He works mainly in animation and projection design for theatre and events, but his practice also spans writing, comics and performance.
